If we were to celebrate the achievements of Jonathan Anderson, the designer who led *Loewe*, there would be no end to the list.
Anderson, who boldly revolutionized the long-established fashion house through cross-pollination between men’s and women’s wear and a cultural approach, became the first designer to win the Designer of the Year award (presented by the British Fashion Council) in both the men’s and women’s categories in 2015.
In June 2025, Anderson was appointed Creative Director of Women’s, Men’s, and Haute Couture at Dior. Being entrusted with the leadership of all three divisions is a rare honor not seen since Monsieur Dior. While the house’s high expectations were evident, the results turned out to be even more impressive than anyone could have imagined.
What caught my eye in the 2026 Summer Collection was the signature inspired by 18th-century Parisian typography. This signature, which blends uppercase and lowercase letters, represents a modern return to the roots born out of a reaction against minimalism. It symbolized the debut collection, in which the delicate aesthetic of a bygone era was refined through Anderson’s sensibility.
The bifold wallet was the item that truly showcased the brand’s timeless signature style.
The “Dior Oblique,” designed by Marc Bohan in 1969. This wallet, adorned with a classic icon, masterfully blended the past (the “Dior Oblique”) with the present (functionality). The signature motif on the front served as the bridge between the two.
