JIL SANDER has been making headlines with its new creative director, and the Spring/Summer season is finally in full swing.
The "King Avanti," which was reissued last October, generated a lot of buzz, but a new collaboration sneaker with PUMA, the "K-Street," is set to launch soon.
〈Puma × Jil Sander〉 Sneakers: ¥77,000 each (Puma Customer Service)
This model combines an upper inspired by the "H-STREET" running spikes from Puma's archives with a sole inspired by karate.
With a silhouette that hugs the foot and an ultra-thin sole, it’s incredibly minimalist. Yet it doesn’t feel cold; in fact, it has a certain warmth to it. Its sleek, flowing form conveys both strength and softness.
The collection comes in three colors: a combination of bronze-toned perforated suede, beige canvas, and blue nylon. The blue version is exclusive to Jil Sander. I think many people will find all of these styles perfectly in tune with the current mood.
Although the official release is on Wednesday, April 8, they are already on sale at the pop-up event currently being held at Isetan Shinjuku. This event runs until Tuesday, April 7. Finally, here’s a comment from Simone Berretti: “These shoes represent the new Jil Sander.”
I prefer footwear that strips away all unnecessary elements and features an ultra-thin sole that hugs the foot in a natural way.
This is my signature style in shoe design.
