Rig Footwear, which started out as a recovery sandal from Japan, has now evolved into a comprehensive footwear brand. Rig Footwear has now launched a new line of running-specific sandals. The company that co-developed these sandals is Answer4, a company with a strong presence in the trail running scene. Answer4 is a trusted brand in the trail running scene.
The upper is a minimalist design with minimal waste. The unique strap construction holds the foot firmly in place while providing a comfortable fit with minimal pressure.
The midsole is made of EVA foam of a proprietary formula, providing both shock absorption and propulsive force at a high level.
The outsole combines an original rubber compound with a lug pattern to ensure high abrasion resistance and grip. It can be used on a wide range of surfaces, from road to trail.

Yamamoto:What did you think of Rigg's running sandals?
Enomoto:Pretty good. The midsole is just in great shape. Cushioned, but not fluffy. It's a little stiff, but it runs well.
Yamamoto:It's nice not to sink too low. It is easy to feel propulsion.
Enomoto:Yeah. That balance is just right.
Yamamoto:Personally, I think the strap around the thumb works well.
Enomoto:Ditto. The thumb is held firmly and can grab the ground.
Yamamoto:The lifting of the feet will be smoother and, as a result, easier to control.
Enomoto:By the way, "running sandals" have become quite civil these days.
Yamamoto:A decade ago, thin soles and barefoot-oriented models were the norm, but now cushioned models are also available, and the number of options is increasing.
Enomoto:These sandals by Rigg are neither too stoic nor too thick-soled. The balance is just right.
Yamamoto:Good balance of outsole. Easy to run on both trail and road.
Enomoto:In fact, I never felt uneasy when I was running.
Yamamoto:That, and the fact that they are working with "Answer 4" is also significant.
Enomoto:It's a brand that's extremely trusted in the trail running scene. I have that sense of security.
Yamamoto:Also, it simply looks good. This is also important.
Enomoto:Indeed. The volume is fresh and different from previous running sandals.
Yamamoto:Not only for runs, but also for regular everyday wear. I would like to draw the attention of runners and non-runners alike.
