If you're spending your summer vacation in Hawaii, make a note of this for your itinerary. What is this Hermès “petit h” sculpture coming to this eternal summer paradise?

Hawaii has always been a popular travel destination, both now and in the past. Oahu, home to Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head, is about a 7-hour flight from Haneda.

True to its reputation as an "eternal summer paradise," the weather is always pleasant, and just letting myself drift away while soaking in the sea breeze and the sound of the waves is incredibly soothing.

It's the perfect place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life and find some inner peace.

If you’re planning to take a summer vacation to Hawaii, here’s some news from *Hermès* that you’ll want to check out.

These are the new "Petit H" art objects on display at this brand's Honolulu Ala Moana Center store.

"Petit H" is one of the 16 métiers (product divisions) at Hermès. Established in 2010, it is a relatively new division where, under the direction of Creative Director Godfroy de Villiers, objects are crafted from materials that have served their purpose in other métiers. These materials include silk carrés, leather scraps, metal parts, crystal, and porcelain.

Using these materials, the objects created through the imagination, inspiration, and exceptional craftsmanship of artists and artisans are each one-of-a-kind. They’re brimming with a sense of playfulness that’s quite different from the *Hermès* products we usually see.

Now, let's take a look at the items coming to Hawaii.

A shelf made from a terracotta jar, a leather ball, yellow porcelain “Soleil d’Hermès,” and a surfboard, among other items.

Cute cushions shaped like bananas and pears.

A shelf shaped like a horse, made of maple wood and leather. Apparently, a crystal vase for a single flower sits on its head.

Although not shown in the photo, the store will feature geometric paper panels commissioned from Hawaiian artist Marcus Hanalei Marzan to complement the exhibition. I hear that new art installations will be displayed against the backdrop of these colorful panels.
