Moving on to the next stage while preserving that instantly recognizable look—Cartier has unveiled a bracelet and ring that are the very epitome of a masterpiece. These are the latest additions to the “LOVE” collection: “LOVE Unlimited.”
Designed in 1969 by the legendary designer Aldo Cipro, the “LOVE” bracelet features a screw motif. Combined with its playful concept of “locking in the one you love,” it quickly rose to become a universally recognized masterpiece.
The highlight of “LOVE Unlimited,” which follows in that lineage, is the bracelet itself, composed of multiple links. The links—reminiscent of the familiar Godron motif—function much like joints, allowing the bracelet to move with supple fluidity. It’s no wonder it’s described as a “second skin.”

That meticulously engineered link is designed so that its cross-section is never exposed, no matter what angle you look at it from.
I’m also impressed by the thoughtful design that makes the screws stand out. Each screw has been meticulously polished and stands out clearly against the links. The spacing between the screws and the links was adjusted according to the size (wrist circumference).
The clasp features a patent-pending system. It uses a security notch to lock into place, allowing it to be opened and closed with a single touch.
The Maison’s creation studio and manufactory produced more than 100 prototypes. The finished bracelet required as many as 200 components.

In addition to the white gold shown in the photo, the lineup includes yellow gold and rose gold.
By elevating industrial screws into design elements, has created jewelry that transcends boundaries—both in terms of occasion and gender. Until then, jewelry was reserved for special occasions, with distinct pieces designed for women and others for men. “LOVE Unlimited” literally embodies that philosophy.
