WILD THINGS" was relaunched this fall/winter 2016 season. Some of you may be nostalgic for this brand, but let us explain it again: WILD THINGS was established in 1981 by John and Marie Bogart, two of America's most famous mountaineers. Based on the concept of "light and tough," the brand continues to produce high-performance products that make the most of their many severe mountaineering experiences. Because of its high functionality, even the U.S. military has taken notice of the brand and adopted it.
For the relaunch, the logo has been reduced to a size of 801 TP10T, and the overall size and silhouette have been narrowed down in order to make it more modern and more suitable for everyday wear. In this issue, we will introduce three types of outerwear from the updated "Wild Things" lineup that will be the focus of attention this season.
3LAYER MIG MOUNTAIN PARKA (available in BLACK, OLIVE and NAVY) ￥45,000+TAX
The first "3LAYER MIG MOUNTAIN PARKA" is a model with a motif of "ECWCS PARKA (ECWCS stands for EXTENDED COLD WEATHER CLOTHING SYSTEM)" of the U.S. military, adding a hood to make it a mountain parka specification. Compared to the "ECWCS PARKA" motif, this model has a better fit and is designed for town use.
In terms of function, the outer layer is 100% nylon, the middle layer is 100% polyurethane, and the lining is 100% nylon. In particular, the special polyurethane film in the middle layer absorbs moisture such as sweat and dissipates it as vapor, thereby reducing the feeling of stuffiness inside the garment. It is also waterproof and windproof, maintaining a comfortable environment inside the garment.

This "DENALI JACKET" is a jacket that is positioned as the highest peak in the "Wild Things" lineup.
For example, the body is made of "eVent," a completely waterproof yet highly breathable material that prevents sweat from freezing on you during strenuous exercise in cold weather. This is a feature that is not often seen in urban life, but is likely to be useful when sweating in winter, when the temperature difference between indoors and outdoors can be quite different.
The interior is made of PrimaLoft, which boasts high heat retention and excellent quick-drying properties, further enhancing warmth. The large hood can be worn over a helmet worn while alpine climbing. It is perfect for bikers who wear helmets, for example. While maintaining the same functionality, the size and fit have been reduced this season.

NYLON MIG COAT" is a high-density 100% nylon coat with a motif of "M-65 FISHTAIL PARKA" of the U.S. Army.
The man-made PrimaLoft® feathers are notable for their feather-like warmth, light weight, breathability, and flexibility. It also has water repellency, which feathers do not have. PrimaLoft® is a revolutionary microfiber material developed at the request of the U.S. military as an alternative to down, and has even been adopted by the U.S. Navy and Army as a material for cold-weather clothing. As an alternative material to high-grade goose down, it is also used in down jackets, sleeping bags, bedding, pillows, etc.
Of course, while using these highly functional materials, the overall shape and balance of the garments are designed for street wear.
