The first brand in Japan to make selvedge denim,〈〈〈.STUDIO D'ARTISANis releasing jeans, denim jackets, and sweatshirts made from 5,000-year-old brown cotton this fall/winter season.
The material used is good old-fashioned brown cotton, which was restored in 1989 by Sally Fox, a doctor of entomology who owns an organic cotton farm in California and is alarmed by the large amount of defoliants and pesticides sprayed when growing cotton, and by the fact that more than 90% of cotton in the world is genetically modified.
The brown cotton is called "fox cotton" and has its original color before being changed to white for human convenience, and it has the features that cotton should have, such as air content, UV reflectivity, and yarn strength during spinning.

The leather patches that come with all items are available in coyote or roadrunner, and the buttons are the original with a black dahl finish. Repeated wear and washing will change the texture to a richer look and feel.

Luxurious FOX cotton is used for both the background and back to give a direct feel of texture and softness.
The natural cavities in the fibers, characteristic of organic farming, will change over time to the point of looking like vintage.
FOX denim jacket ¥32,800+TAX
This denim jacket is made of 15 oz. original FOX denim with No. 7 indigo rope-dyed yarn for the warp and No. 6 original FOX yarn for the weft. The indigo warp yarn fades with age, and the FOX cotton weft yarn appears, creating a denim jacket with rich colors.

The warp is made of 7-count indigo rope-dyed yarn and the weft is made of 6-count original FOX yarn, which is carefully woven on a power loom. No detail is overlooked, such as the leather patches made of hair-on-hide.
FOX TSURI-AMI SWEAT ¥21,800+TAX
FOX yarn is made for sweatshirts and knitted on a hang knitting machine. By using different colors of coyote (brown) and road runner (green) for the outer and inner yarns, the wooden pattern stands out and has a richer look.
A masterpiece by a historic brand using exceptional materials. We would like to see and touch them in person.
