With the passage of time, the number of ceramic table lamps has been decreasing year by year, and nowadays it is difficult to find lamps in sizes that fit Japanese households. This project was born out of the buyer's strong desire to have small ceramic lamps that could be collected as objets d'art.
There are a total of 23 pieces of vintage pottery that we have purchased as bases for the lamps. Most of them are from the late 60's to the 80's, and they all have a sense of good old American design.
After the purchased pottery arrives in Japan from the U.S., it is hand-customized by skilled craftsmen. Each of them is finished into a table lamp with warmth.
