Since then, the scale of the event has expanded, and the Tokyo Auto Salon has grown to become one of Japan's leading motoring events, with new car launches timed to coincide with the show.
Tokyo Auto Salon 2019, held from January 11 (Fri.) to 13 (Sun.), also featured custom car stores and automakers from all over Japan. The event was a great success, drawing a record 330,000 visitors.
With more than 400 booths, one day is not enough time to visit every single booth. So this time, we didn't even look at the other booths, but headed straight for one at once.

Developed by outdoor enthusiasts, this is a car for the outdoors. There are not many cars that are so suited to the great outdoors. By a lake, at the foot of a mountain, along a river.... The imagination is bound to expand.
Both models are spacious enough to sleep two adults with the seats folded down. The ceiling has downlights, so there is no need to worry about incandescent lights spoiling the outdoor atmosphere.

Next to the Gordon Miller booth was the original Autobacks booth, which featured apparel and goods from the "ARTA (AUTOBACKS RACING TEAM AGURI)" led by Aguri Suzuki. There was also an original design by "Pelican," a company known for its waterproof and robust products.
Not long ago, it would have been hard to imagine, but these days, the entire "Autobacs" group is beyond design conscious. I am looking forward to future developments.
