Throwback to the motifs of the 1950s . The Studio da Lutizan's 40th anniversary items are still available.

In 1979, the brand was the first in Japan to reissue vintage jeans, and is well known among those in the know.STUDIO D'ARTISAN. The 40th anniversary items have been released several times so far, but the following items will be released in March.

In the 1950s, jeans became a symbol of rebellion for young people who became frustrated with society. There was an era of the "King of Jeans," when jeans were worn by stars in Hollywood movies and were beginning to be recognized as a fashion item. In this work, the details of those days have been rearranged to create a modern tapered silhouette.

The fabric was made of pure indigo without any mixture of sulfide colors and other colors. Super-long staple cotton, with its unique smoothness and luster, was blended into the fabric , for a pleasant feel against the skin. You can enjoy the natural unevenness of the cotton.

Aloha shirt made of 100% rayon with a horizontail pattern (a design with a top and bottom) reminiscent of vintage designs from the 1950s. The colors are layered using a technique developed in kimono textile printing in Kyoto, Japan. The design is full of humor, with Diamond Head peeking through a palm tree and a pig climbing a tree.

This indigo aloha shirt is designed in the motif of "Birds and Beasts Caricature," which is said to be the oldest manga in Japan. This elaborate shirt was created by "hand-printing" using a Ushigunu screen and hand-printing the fabric.

Each item is a particular item that incorporates the good old motifs and techniques that are the lifeblood of "Studio da Lutisan". There will be more to come.
