It visualizes issues that are difficult to see and, at the same time, draws the viewer into its worldview with the energy of the artwork. This is one aspect of the power of art.
Food On A Model" is a special collaboration between Kaoru, a food stylist, and POJO, a model and creator living in the U.S., organized by "anna magazine," a culture magazine for traveling girls. The exhibition will be held at Container Graphic Gallery from April 24 (Wed.) to 28 (Sun.), prior to the publication of the project in the "Girls' Go West" feature article in the latest issue of "anna magazine" to be released at the end of May.
Female models are often thought to not enjoy food very much due to strict daily dietary restrictions. In this exhibition, Kaoru Kaoru used her own "Food On A Photograph" technique (placing food or dishes directly on top of a photograph and photographing it again) to create artwork on the portraits taken by POJO, showing models who have been freed from such stereotypical thinking and are now enjoying food freely. The work is completed.

Mr. POJO.
The thought process that led him to find the problems of modern society in familiar food is expressed in the introduction to the exhibition, which reads as follows.
Body image (the image of one's appearance and body shape) as projected by the fashion industry has been a problem of sorts for many years .
. the complex relationship between "food" and us "people."
It is something that exists not only with models, but with many who are concerned about their shape and appearance.
It is important for us to make a habit of eating in a way that is free and considerate to us. . because "food" and we are one of the things that will be with us throughout our lives.
Enjoy eating to the fullest,
Express yourself through what you eat,
Let's create dining memories we can cherish.
What will this precious work, created exclusively for this collaboration, really throw up?
On Friday, April 26, a talk event will be held welcoming the two girls, where you can hear about the concept of the project, their thoughts on their respective works, and the cutting-edge thinking of American model girls about food.
By taking into account not only good and bad food, but also various perspectives, we can enjoy the world of food even more. We invite you to imagine the possibilities. This event is sure to help you do so.
