If SILENT POETS is the musical platform for expressing the melancholic and emotional DUB sound, then the form of expression that is infused with the very sense of Shimoda, who has also been active as a graphic designer for a long time, is the recently debuted original brand "POETS MEETS DUBWISE.
Shimoda has designed graphics and logos for numerous brands, as well as artwork and merchandising for his own works, and his experience is fully demonstrated in this product line.
If I had to venture a word, I would say that the visuals are simple and strong typography with an awareness of the beauty of words and margins.
And now, "vendor" and "COVERCHORD" have placed a special order for the most iconic T-shirt in the lineup. Originally, "vendor" had long been in contact with Mr. Shimoda, participating as a guest in the music event "ON THE FLOOR" held by "vendor," so this is a special order that is sure to satisfy.
Unlike the inline, the body will be changed to have a pocket, and two patterns of body color & logo color will be available. For your information, "Vendor" will sell the PINK logo on the WHITE body, and "COVERCHORD" will sell the BLUE logo on the BLACK body.
Small "vendor" and "COVERCHORD" logos are placed on the left sleeve.
To commemorate this special order of "POET MEETS DUBWISE", a party "vendor FRIDAY" will be held at "vendor nakameguro" on May 10, ( Fri. ) from 6pm to enjoy comfortable music and delicious beer in a relaxed atmosphere. Mr. Shimoda seems to have been invited as the GUEST DJ.
