The hip-hop crew "KANDYTOWNThe "DJ MASATOandDJ MinnesotahDo you know about "Mari," a party organized by a club in Dogenzaka, Shibuya, called "ContactThe party is held on the second Tuesday night of every month at the "Mito" Hotel , and the next one on May 14 will be the third one. The party has been a great success since its inception, and it seems likely that it will spread among the younger generation as a new place for socializing. Here, we asked the two organizers 10 questions about Mari. What were the members of KANDYTOWN, a leader in the hip-hop scene, thinking when they started the party? 1. Why did you start "Mari"?
We want the younger generation and various people to know what we think is good music and what our favorites are. We started this project out of such a sense of mission.
2. What kind of party?
There will be music and drinks as well as food, a special flea market, and artwork by artists SUGI and Yuki Aizawa. We hope you will enjoy the entire party space.
3. What is the meaning of the event title?
A fictitious character named "Mari". I chose this title because I wanted to travel around the world with her on a musical journey.

4. What are your impressions and response to the past two events?
Above all, we enjoy ourselves the most. That alone is rewarding enough.
5. What kind of music selection do you each have?
80s disco, boogie and house (Masato)
Soul, R&B, Hip Hop (Minnesotah)
We select a variety of songs regardless of genre , depending on the season and time of day.
6. How do customers react?
. Since there are many young customers, I think they play only songs they don't know. Even so, everyone leaves with a good face at the end of the show. As for ourselves, we are most conscious of the time frame from the opening to the closing of the show.
7. What kind of food and live painting will be available?

For artwork, SUGI and Yuki Aizawa are exhibiting their works in accordance with the concept of the event.
8. How do you decide on your monthly guest DJs?
We only book DJs that we think are great.
9. What is the next meeting on May 14?
The next guest DJ will be Yuka Mizuhara. We wanted to invite her to our party because there are not many DJs who play records that match our mood. We would like to create a space that is unique to this time of year when the weather is getting warmer.
10. What kind of party do you want to have in the future?
I want people of all ages to come visit "Mari" and feel our vibes. Our goal is to create a space where young artists can be born.
