The big trend these days is the big silhouette. It seems that everyone has drop shoulders, and if you were to trace the origin of this trend, you would probably find it at Vetements.
On the other hand, there is a brand that comes from a completely different culture, but has a big silhouette at its core. This is WILLY CHAVARRIA, which has its roots in styles such as Chicano.
The designer's style is very hard-edged, and he incorporates the environment in which he grew up and his roots into his clothes to an extent that is rare these days. An event will be held at "Wism Shinjuku" where dead stock items of brands that the designer of "Willy Chavarria" has been involved with in the past will be gathered together.
Short-sleeved shirt ¥8,000+tax each
Jacket ¥14,000+tax each
Palmer Trading Company × Dickies, the long-established American work brand STAN RAY, and Willy Willi, the first shirt brand to bear his own name. (WILLY, the first shirt brand to bear designer Willie's name, will also be available.
Shirt ¥9,000+TAX each
Short-sleeved shirt ¥8,000+tax each
Two brands that are particularly rare and valuable are Stanley x Willie USA and Willie. The former is a line of fatigued pants only, and was produced for a limited period of only one year starting in 2014.
The latter was a line of shirts only developed during Willie's time at Palmer Trading Company, the predecessor of the current Willie Chavarria brand.
Shorts ¥6,000+tax each
Stanley x Willie USA〉 ¥17,000+TAX each
Furthermore, one of the major features of this event is that all of the items in this event are produced in Texas. It seems that the aging population in Texas is causing factories to go out of business one after another, so Texas production itself is quite rare. This time, only selected treasures are gathered after searching warehouses.
Because of this project, all items are one-of-a-kind, and there are only 50 pieces in total! The sizes also vary! It will be fun to visit the store as if you were on a treasure hunt.
