While most notably in aloha shirts, there are many pieces of postwar American clothing that can be perceived as Japanese culture. And among them, one can rarely find items that reflect so-called "Japonism. However, this is the opposite of the foreign countries that we admire, and it is a sense of "Japan seen from abroad," so it is a little different from the Japanese sense. But that may be what makes it so fresh and wonderful in this day and age.
Let me preface this by saying that this happi coat set-up is just that. And the fact that it is pajamas is shocking. The way they approach our idea of making a happi coat in the style of pajamas from an oblique angle is irresistible. The size is large enough to wear on the street, and above all, the name "KIMOJAMA" is great.
