LOUIS VUITTONwas clad in rainbow colors following the Spring/Summer 2019 collection.
The base is taiga leather. Taiga" means "coniferous forest area," and the leather is characterized by its sharp, uneven surface. It was first introduced in 1993 as the design for the men's line, and has captivated business executives around the world.
The rainbow colors on the entire body tell us that the appeal of Taiga leather is not all about sophistication and intelligence vectors.
The backpack is inspired by the trunks that are the roots of Louis Vuitton. This is a bold update by Virgil Abloh, a men's artistic director who specializes in the conversion of luxury to street fashion.
The rainbow color represents diversity. It is an idea that can be called Virgil's identity.
