King George" in Daikanyama, which draws a line every day for its healthy and hearty sandwiches, is offering a limited-time-only "Scrambled Eggs" sandwich.
Don't underestimate it. The main egg, "Meisui Akagara Tamago" from Dewanosato, Yamagata Prefecture, was selected for this special sandwich by Mr. Daichi Takagi, owner of Kisaburo Farm, a famous restaurant in Sengoku, Bunkyo-ku, which is certified as a tamalier (sommelier of eggs) and offers dishes using carefully selected brand eggs from all over Japan. The rich yolk, with its firm white flesh and reddish color, has a delicious flavor with a hint of sweetness and richness.
Two of these eggs are lavishly used, baked into a thick and fluffy scrambled egg, and sandwiched between "King George's" signature turkey breast slices. This turkey is juicy, but does not destroy the original flavor of the red-bellied egg, making it an excellent meat partner that complements the main dish. Add to this the popular Monterey Jack cheese with its mild flavor, crisp lettuce, and tomatoes, and you have a delicious fault line of sandwiches. The bread that wraps around the hearty delicacy is the dark live red, the sweetest of the "King George" breads, moist and soft when toasted, and with a savory smell that whets the appetite.
Scrambled eggs ¥1,600 in TAX
The special sandwich "Scrambled Eggs" is only available now. Please take this opportunity to try it.
