But did you know that since last year, a new "Alpen" has opened that is far removed from that image? Alpine Outdoors" deals in all kinds of outdoor gear, not just winter mountain gear, and "Alpine Mountains" has more mountain-focused gear.
Both of these businesses offer an outstanding lineup of products that will make even the most seasoned of customers groan, but until now they have not had a store in Tokyo. But until now, there has been no store in Tokyo, and finally, last week, the first "Alpine Mountains" opened in Tokyo.
Located in Nerima Sekimachi, the store is one of the largest of its kind in Tokyo, offering approximately 50,000 items from 470 brands.
The first thing that jumps out at you is [<NORDISKThe display is styled around the gear of the Nordisk brand. There are not many places where you can see so many Nordisk items all at once. This is a must-see for fans of the brand.
Next to the store is a wide selection of camping gear from well-known brands. The outdoor chairs in particular are well stocked, and you are sure to find a chair that you will love.
Other items in the lineup range from minor camping gear, which is not unlike a large suburban store, to items for all kinds of activities, including skiing and snowboarding.
And the biggest selling point of this store is the area named "FOOT COMFORT" in the center of the store. The latest fitting machines are installed to help you find the shoes that fit you best. A custom insole molding machine is also installed, so you can even make your own original insoles. If you have difficulty choosing shoes because of the shape of your feet, it is worth a visit even if you are not a camping enthusiast.
This type of business is likely to continue to expand. In time, the American outdoor chain "REII have a feeling that it is going to be a "one of a kind" presence. Anyway, I recommend you to taste its greatness at least once.
