The selection of books by celebrities is also getting stronger. The popular Hotel Hakone Book Box celebrates its first anniversary.

With approximately 12,000 good books on display, the "Hakone Book Box" hotel has become a utopia for bookworms. To commemorate the occasion, the existing contents will be enhanced and various events will be held this summer.

The "Anojin no Honbokan" (celebrities from various fields select books) program has undergone a major renewal. The new lineup includes kabuki actor Shido Nakamura, actress Fumi Nikaido, and musician Hanaregumi (Takashi Nagatsuki). What kind of books have they read and been influenced by? The books will appear sequentially in the museum from August 1 (Thu.).

The "Study Room" is a guest room normally available only to hotel members.

Next, three poems written by the poet Shuntaro Tanikawa will be on display, written by Tanikawa during his stay in the "Shosai no Room" at the Hakone Bonsai in the fall of 2018. The exhibition will be open only to guests staying in the "Shosai-no-Room".

A summer bar will also be available on the restaurant's terrace. The period is from Thursday, August 1 to mid-September. There is no better way to enjoy the cool of the evening while admiring the verdant natural surroundings.

The large bathhouse offers two types of spring water: sulfur spring water and hot water for beautiful skin. Both are free-flowing hot-spring water.
