ZUCCa and illustrator Noritake, who have collaborated on two previous exhibitions, will hold the third installment of "Sleepy" following "Lie Down" ((2015)) and "Round" ((2017)).
Noritake's work is characterized by a gentle, peaceful perspective contained within simple drawings, and in this sense, the two are a perfect match.
The exhibition will feature a variety of collaborative items, including silk-screened works on the theme of "sleepiness," simple relaxed-size clothing supervised by Noritake, and accessories with bold illustrations.
In addition, "N and Z," a collection of drawings from the trilogy "Lying Down," "Rounding Up," and "Sleepy," will be available for purchase in advance of the exhibition.
The words on the obi are by the great Shuntaro Tanikawa!
Furthermore, to celebrate the opening of the exhibition "Nemurenaru," an entrance-free opening party will be held at "CABANE de ZUCCa Minami-Aoyama" on August 2, ( Fri. ) from 6pm to 8pm, inviting Noritake. Anyone is welcome to attend. Please come and visit us.
