I was worried that I should have worn something more formal. I wondered if it would be okay to wear flip-flops with a worn-out leather bag (laughs). (Laughs.) But I like vintage and other things like that, so I decided to mix it up. I decided to wear a crisp Brooks Brothers shirt while mixing it with my own personality.

Her modeling career began when she was in high school. Around the same time, Karin Osha entered a high school attached to an art college and began painting as well. Currently, she is also active as an artist, and her solo exhibition held at a gallery in Harajuku at the end of last year attracted a lot of attention. On this occasion, she showed us a coordinated outfit that focused on items that gave a rough and relaxed impression, while a shirt from Brooks Brothers tightened up the overall atmosphere.

When I work as a model, I try to let go of my own ideas and leave it to the creativity of the production staff. I try to be a model without expressing my own wishes. I think it's better that way, and I feel there is value in being a model. But on the other hand, when I paint, I give myself to the fullest. When I do that, even the square frame of the canvas feels very limited. Now I paint while thinking that I want to expand the possibilities of the canvas as much as possible.

When the cuffs of the shirt are folded back, the color-coded fabric peeks out and becomes a point of interest.

Ms. Osha has two different stances as a model and a painter. The organic interaction between the two adds depth to both Karin Osha as a model and Karin Osha as a painter. This is somewhat reminiscent of the fact that Brooks Brothers has been a brand loved by people for over 200 years by valuing both tradition and innovation.

Mr. Osha often goes to museums when he has time. Traditional button-down shirts go well with the stately buildings.

For me, a "classic" is something like a T-shirt or the Brooks Brothers button-down shirt I am wearing today. These clothes can be worn by men and women of all ages. I think a standard item is something that can be worn by anyone, something that has no barriers. When you think about it, there are very few standard items (laughs). (Laughs) Brooks Brothers has an image of being very elegant, high quality, and for adults. I am 26 years old now, and I may be old enough to be wearing such clothes, but I would like to continue to age in such a way that I am not worn out by them.
