Fashion lovers must have more than a little admiration for vintage cars. The angular design of these cars is certainly something that current models do not have. However, the car of the future, with its streamlined form and electric power, is not so bad either.
The previous Tokyo Motor Show attracted 770,000 visitors. This year, the show aims to attract 1 million visitors.
The Tokyo Motor Show opened on Thursday, October 24. This year's show, titled "OPEN FUTURE," featured a lineup of cars that looked like something out of a science fiction movie. Not only passenger cars, but even trucks for transportation are futuristic.
Toyota's booth is located at the far end of the Qinghai Exhibition Hall.
While the booths of various manufacturers displayed vehicles that are either on sale or scheduled to go on sale next year, the booth of Toyota, the leader in the industry, was devoid of such vehicles. Toyota, the leader in the industry, exhibited conceptual vehicles and services that are several years or even decades in the future. So what exactly was on display?
There are two seats in the car. There is no driver's seat.
The first one is called "TOYOTA e-Care. Inside the car is just a chair and a monitor, but what it is for is to be examined by a doctor.
The one exhibited here reads facial expressions and analyzes current feelings. In the future, however, this vehicle will be dispatched to depopulated areas, where it can measure blood pressure and heart rate, and be connected to a doctor in the city via a monitor for a medical interview. As the patient population ages and mobility becomes more difficult, this vehicle will surely be of great help.
This car was conceived to supply electricity not only to the car, but also to the city itself.
It is equipped with a contactless charging system. It also has air purification and Wi-Fi functions.
Next is the TOYOTA e-Chargeair. In layman's terms, it is a battery car. On a full charge, it can travel up to 80 km. Since it does not require plugging and unplugging, for example, the TOYOTA e-Chargeair and the electric car can be recharged while running side by side. If taken to disaster-stricken areas where it is difficult to find a power supply, the TOYOTA e-Chargeair can be used to charge smartphones, boil water in a kettle, and so on. It is also useful in times of disaster.
A bit of luxurious one-person mobility that allows you to do what you love with your travel time.
TOYOTA e-4me, which looks like a box with tires, is like a "mobile room. It is a complete one-person vehicle, and the AI is in charge of driving. Even if you lose the last train after drinking too much, the "TOYOTA e-4me" will come and pick you up.
Don't forget to get your Residence Card at the entrance of the Toyota booth.
Visitors can earn points by actually experiencing the contents in the booth.
There are many other contents that will give you a sense of the future, but if you visit the Toyota booth, you should first ask for a residence card to experience the future. Registration is as easy as taking a picture. As you experience each content, you will accumulate points, which can be exchanged for original items depending on the number of points you have accumulated.
The "Toyota Convenience Store" was created for the Tokyo Motor Show.
Redeemable from 1 point.
The exchange location is the "Toyota Convenience Store" located in the booth. There are items such as tote bags and tumblers that can be used on a daily basis. You can get these items just for experiencing each content, so this is a great deal!
The staff at the booth also greeted visitors in futuristic costumes.
You can experience a future where diverse mobility coexists until Monday, November 4. This is a must-see event.
