This season'sSAINT LAURENTNone of the outerwear of the "Mere Old Man" can be passed by unnoticed. Here are three items that made me do a double-take.
The first item is the season's hottest shearling jacket. Creative director Anthony Vaccarello has put this on the third type of G-jacket (!). The first item was the shearling jacket, which is the focus of this season's collection. The combination of the two is an unlikely one, but what is irresistible is the shearling in key areas, such as the V-shaped seam (running almost parallel on this model), which is characteristic of third-type jackets.
Next is a narrow shawl-collar cardigan with a jacquard fabric with sequins around the waist and cuffs, reminiscent of the 80's, but with an elegant finish. It could be rightly called an "evening version of a knit. The embroidered part took one day to complete.
The last item on the list is a piece reminiscent of the N3-B, a standard flight jacket along with the MA-1. It is sublimated to luxury with raccoon fur and real shearling lining approved by the Finnish fur farming organization "Saga Fur," and the details have been meticulously crafted. I was also impressed by the timing of the release of this item, as the world is in a somewhat tense mood. In the past, wearing khaki military items meant SILENT RESSISTANT (= silent resistance) to the Vietnam War.
The common denominator of all outerwear is a narrow silhouette. The stance that blows the trend out of the water is graceful and captivating.
The soft lamb leather makes it very comfortable. The attention to detail in the buttons and other details also shines through.
