And from December 7, ( Sat. ), the exhibition "I came back home" is being held.
The performance tour of six European countries covered a distance of 4,980 km, and 3,563 photographs were taken during a total of eight performances. All of these photos were printed out from a printer and piled up in the exhibition hall. Visitors are free to take the prints home.
The venue is Gallery Yamatani, a gallery that is a godsend for exhibiting works in a space that fits the concept of the work. This year's exhibition will be held in Izumi, Suginami-ku, which is Yamaya's current home town.
Reflecting on the trip, Yamatani said, "I am very happy to be here.
I kept trying to strip it off. But instead of trying to take it, I stripped this side. Then there was a gentle world there.
This exhibition is a solid trace of his attempt to understand the act of photography in a physical and analog manner.

Yusuke Yamatani
Born in Niigata Prefecture in 1985. He first attracted attention with his early work "Tsugi no yoru e" (Tsugi no yoru e), which captured the ephemeral nature of youth culture in straightforward black-and-white photographs. Since then, he has developed works on a variety of themes, including the floors of live houses and clubs, his own honeymoon, suburbs of cities, and self-portraits, presenting a unique vision of the state of the world around people today. His activities are based on a conceptual structure that traces the logic of the photographic medium within society, while remaining true to the place where he stands and the reality that exists before his eyes, and exploring new possibilities for photographic expression.
