As a subsidiary of Backpackers' Japan, the company is engaged in the production and operation of student dormitories.The Youthwas born just a few days ago.
What kind of company? With the mission of "connecting students with the world," we will create apartments exclusively for students with a café/bar open to the city and a lounge where students can gather across all boundaries, including race and nationality. Students will be able to meet friends from all over the world, meet adults who have already made their mark in society, and learn about new worlds and landscapes they never knew existed through study groups and workshops held every weekend in the lounge.
Although the actual student dormitory will not be completed for some time yet, it seems that it will not be just a matter of completing the building and calling it a day.
As if to prove this point, we have decided to first hold monthly talk events on various themes. The first of these events, "The Youth Night," will be held on Saturday, January 18.
The theme is "How to live a life-size life that is uniquely your own by turning what you love into a job.
There will be two guests for the talk. Daisuke Matsushima, CEO of "Paddler's Coffee," which has a store in Hatagaya and continues to create coffee culture in Japan, and Takahiro Honma, CEO of "Backpackers' Japan," which operates the popular hostels "Nui. CEO Takahiro Honma, who runs the aforementioned popular hostel Nui. in Kuramae and CITAN in Nihonbashi.
What kind of conversations will be held between two people who have been shaping what they love to do since their 20s? At first glance, turning what you love into a career may seem like a very happy thing, but it goes without saying that there is a great deal of determination and effort that goes into it. I hope to hear real and sincere stories that cannot be found on the Internet.
After the talk session, DJ YonYon, who has an affinity for youth culture, and Yuna Yabe are scheduled to perform as "Youth Lounge" from 7:00 p.m. on the same day.

Daisuke Matsushima (President, PADDLERS COFFEE)
He spent most of his teenage years in Portland, U.S., and after returning to Japan, he repeatedly traveled throughout North and Central America and South America before founding the store with co-president Takehiro Kato in 2013. 2015 saw the opening of the Nishihara main store, the current independent street-front store.
He is the representative of PADDLERS COFFEE, the only place in Japan where you can taste the beans of Stumptown Coffee Roasters, which is based in Oregon, USA.
Takahiro Homma (CEO, Backpackers' Japan)
After backpacking for a year during his junior year of college, he started his own business at the age of 23. After graduating from college, he opened a taiyaki shop as a private business. In 2010, he opened his first guesthouse, toco. in Tokyo with the funds he earned from the business, followed by Nui. HOSTEL & BAR LOUNGE. in Kuramae, Len in Kyoto, and CITAN in Nihonbashi.
He is the president of Backpackers' Japan, which manages lodging facilities that are both highly popular. He loves traveling and surfing.

He started his career as a DJ in 2012. She has established a unique mixing style that transcends the boundaries of genre and language, intuitively assembling her own mixes, and has performed at clubs and large festivals not only in Japan and Korea, but also in various cities in Asia, the U.S., and Europe. Her performance not only enlivens the crowd, but also does not disappoint when she performs in a small box where she is more closely connected with the audience.
Yuna Yabe (@yunaaay1030)
Born in 1997, she won the grand prix in the "Zipper×ASOBISYSTEM Exclusive Model Audition" at the age of 15. She is an overwhelmingly popular model among young people. She is currently a member of ASOBISYSTEM, a modeling/entertainment agency, and is active as a DJ in addition to her modeling activities.
