Shibuya PARCO's "2G" is a mix of multiple contents: select stores, galleries, and art toys. Among the many tenants, "2G" is extremely unique.
Motoi Sorayama, the artist who had an opening exhibition with Daniel Arsham at "2G," has now teamed up with "88Rising" to release a capsule collection, also at "2G.
New York-based "88Rising" is a media platform, label, and production company, and is responsible for the breakthroughs of Rich Brian and Keith Ape, among others.
The two have collaborated in the past, but this time they have co-created apparel printed with Sorayama's signature sexy robots and metallic dolphins.
Furthermore, this work is now equipped with an augmented reality (AR) feature. By viewing Sorayama's art through special filters on Instagram and Snapchat, you can enjoy it in 3D. The expression that goes beyond fashion is a product of the two artists' ability to look at things from an oblique point of view.
What is the visual? Are they experimenting on the human body? . Check with the staff at the store for the hidden message behind it.
