Pigalle, Nike and basketball have produced another great one.

The jacket worn by the model on the far right is not available in Japan.

Pigalle and Nike, by Stephan Ashpour, have been in a honeymoon relationship since 2014. The collections, mediated by basketball, have created a new world of casual wear.

The latest collection is "The power of sport to move the world forward," which was presented at the recent Paris Men's Fashion Week.

The garments are based on Stefan's perspective on apparel influenced by the 90's , and express Pigalle's sense of community.

As you can see, the design can be worn on the court or on the street.

The collaboration between the two has so far extended beyond apparel and footwear to providing a safe place to play basketball.

The first basketball court in Paris in September 2019 will be an international symbol of the creative power of the sport's community, a gathering place for local players.

From a basketball court in Paris, a community has been born. It was all the various little elements that came together to transform what was once a parking lot into a family-like community and a place that inspires people. This has been a great experience for me, but the time has come to expand this concept while continuing to maintain the organic Pigalle character.

In the fall of 2019, a second court will open in Beijing, China, with an area of 600 m² and surrounding space made of Nike's grind material, recycled from 45,000 pairs of sports shoes . Throughout the year, the center hosts organized activities with the city's high school basketball leagues and neighboring community groups, as well as events exclusively for female players.

Stefan's belief that basketball has the power to connect people and that the court is the center of a healthy and creative community has thus created many communities.

We will continue to keep an eye on Pigalle as it moves easily beyond the realm of fashion brands.
