Oyama Enrico Isamu
Artist. Graduated from Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, Keio University. Graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, Department of Advanced Art Expression. He has attracted attention in the field of contemporary art with his murals and paintings based on the motif "Quick Turn Structure," a reinterpretation of the visuals of aerosol lighting. Born in Tokyo in 1983 to an Italian father and Japanese mother, he was raised there. Since 2012, he has been based in New York and has held exhibitions around the world. He has also published a book, "Against Literacy: A Theory of Graffiti Culture," planned and supervised a special issue of Bijutsu Techo on Aerosol Lighting, and collaborated with Comme des Garcons and Shu Uemura. He has held solo exhibitions at the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation, London; Marianna Kistler Beach Museum, Kansas; Pola Museum of Art, Hakone; Nakamura Keith Haring Museum, Yamanashi; and Tower 49 Gallery, New York.
