A new world of photography created by bugs. BEP supports Shunsuke Shiga's first photo exhibition "bugs.

BlackEyePatch, which continues to support photographers, graffiti writers, artists, and other creators while being closely intertwined with the subcultures surrounding the streets, can rightly be called a streed brand. Shunsuke Shiga's first photography exhibition "bugs," which will be held this weekend at Gallery COMMON in Harajuku, is one of their activities.

Shunsuke Shiga is a photographer active mainly in fashion magazines and advertising. Many of our readers may recognize his name, as he has often been in charge of shooting for our projects in HOUYHNHNM's. He is also the photographer for our "HOUYHNHNM's" project.

In this exhibition, the artist previewed photos of everyday landscapes taken with a digital camera on a PC, and took screenshots of the moment the photos broke down and froze like a bug when the PC itself was overloaded. This is an expression unique to the current era in which the concept of photography is being renewed on a daily basis.

The accidental colorful textures create a psychedelic and pop worldview. You will feel a strange sensation as if you are looking at a color bar seen on late-night TV.

In conjunction with the exhibition, the venue will also be selling "bugs" merch produced by "Black Eye Patch," so don't miss it, not only for photography enthusiasts, but also for BEP fans.
