previously in this column.EXIT" is a collection of photographs by photographer Kumi Kim. Since its publication at the end of March exactly one year ago, the artist has held exhibitions and talk shows at more than 10 locations from Tokyo to Hiroshima, as if traveling throughout Japan. As a result, the book is now in the Museum of Photography in Paris and in bookstores in London.
EXIT" is a collection of photographs taken over a period of 15 years since 2004 of ordinary people and scenes in the United Kingdom, triggered in part by Brexit (the withdrawal from the European Union).
In January 2020, after three postponements, the U.K. decided to go ahead with Brexit. This exhibition will once again feature photographs of the United Kingdom, which is still in the midst of upheaval, as well as fragments of the Brexit process.
For this exhibition, we are working with Kayo Yoshida, a stylist who has lived in the UK for eight years and is active in publications such as Spool and Elle Japon.
The exhibition will be held until Sunday, April 12.
