Agnès b. & Kimono maker Yamato. This is a unique collaboration that transcends national boundaries.

Born in France[agnès b.is a traditional Japanese design, kimono maker〈YAMATO〉〉(D〈YAMATO〉)and "A Touch of Paris". This collaboration, realized out of respect for the creations of the two designers, will feature a "blend of Japanese and Western" items under the concept of "A touch of Paris".

The lineup includes kimonos and combinés, which are each other's specialties. Please take a look at the looks first.

This kimono is tailored with original textiles from Agnès b. The elegant yet rough look is very appealing. Printed on the obi is a Parisian landscape photographed by Agnès BAY himself. The fresh approach of printing a photo on the obi is indeed impressive. The kimono is made of a thin cotton fabric so that it can be enjoyed as a yukata, and the obi can be fastened with a single touch.

Agnès b.'s signature combinée has been transformed into a piece that is imbued with the "Yamato" spirit. The comfortable texture is created using cotton linen fabric from Hamamatsu and cotton shrunken fabric from Ojiya, Niigata.

The items, each with its own philosophy, are modern yet somehow nostalgic. Now that overseas travel is restricted due to the coronavirus and direct cross-cultural exchange has been cut off, it would be nice to feel a sense of another country even if it is only through what we wear. It would be nice to be able to feel a foreign country just by what we wear. The product will go on sale on May 8 (Fri.).
