I-Guru is a long-established jazz cafe in Yotsuya, Tokyo , established in 1967. It is well known among jazz lovers.

It is essential to mention that Tatsuro Yamashita, a regular customer, met Taeko Onuki, who was working part-time at the time, and "Sugar Babe" was formed. Many famous songs would not have been born without this place...it is deeply moving.

However, "I-Guru" is no exception to the rule and is suffering from business difficulties as a result of the spread of the new coronavirus. The owner's comment is probably better than an explanation of how difficult it has been for him.

As some of you may not have expected, the long-established jazz cafe "I-Guru", which has been in business for 52 years, is now facing a crisis of survival due to the Corona disaster. As a result, sales have dropped by 80%, and we are now in a critical situation where we are unable to pay salaries and rent to our staff.

In response to this situation, "I-Guru" has started selling original goods in order to survive. Surprisingly, this is the first time they have produced such items since their establishment, and we hope that not only first-time visitors but also regulars will check them out.
