Many places are suffering as a result of the Corona disaster, but music has been particularly affected. Events have been canceled across the board, live music venues and clubs have been forced to close, and artists have been left without a place to express themselves.
In an attempt to turn the situation around, Shimokitazawa SPREAD, a live music club that opened at the end of February this year, and FLATTOP, which is active mainly in the Tokyo area, have come up with a plan to turn the situation around as much as possible. The two organizations have teamed up to launch "AMUSEMENT," a subscription-based distribution program.
What this means is that for a month from May 8 (Fri.) to June 7 (Sun.), live DJs and live performances will be streamed live from "Shimokitazawa SPREAD" every day. We will also cooperate with leading local establishments such as "modulation now!" in Osaka and "PROVO" in Sapporo, to transmit content from outside of Tokyo.
