. We all want to keep our favorite sneakers in good condition for as long as possible. In such cases, items from Jason Markk, a brand that specializes in sneaker care products, can be useful. This time, we would like to try a before-and-after test using our own sneakers to see how great they really are.
But first, some additional information about the brand. Jason Mark" is a sneaker care brand established in Los Angeles in 2007. The brand is now carried in over 2,000 stores in more than 30 countries, including famous boutiques and sneaker specialty stores around the world. One of the reasons for this is that 98.31% of the ingredients (TP10T) are natural materials. Since no abrasives or strong chemicals are added, it does not cause unnecessary damage to sneakers and is environmentally friendly. . This is what attracts many sneaker freaks and has earned their trust.
Now, let's start the demonstration. I prepared the "M1700" by "New Balance," the last flagship model of the 1000 series released in 1999, which was reissued in 2016 for the first time in the USA. The retail price was 39,000 yen. Along with the original color, gray, the pair looked outstandingly cool with its luxurious white smooth leather. However, since I bought them, I have never washed them and as you can see, they are all dirty.
. dirt is evident on the sole as well as the upper.
There are a few scratches here and there that look like scuffs as well as dirt.
Three items were used for maintenance this time. These are the "ESSENTIAL KIT," which combines a liquid cleaner and brush, the "PREMIUM MICROFIBER TOWEL," a microfiber towel made of super absorbent material for finishing, and the powerful waterproof (water repellent) spray "REPEL SPRAY.

It is very easy to use.
. 1. brush the dust off the sneakers.
2. soak the brush in a bowl of water.
3. apply an appropriate amount of cleaner to the brush.
4. soak the brush in water again.
5. brush the soiled area while whisking.
. 6. wipe clean with a microfiber towel.
7. allow to dry naturally.
. 8. When dry, spray with waterproofing spray , and allow to dry completely.
That's all there is to it. I have been washing my sneakers mainly in the bathroom or on the balcony, where water can spill, but now I can do it anywhere.
In addition to the above three items, the only other thing you need to prepare is a small bowl of water.
So, here is the process of 1-5, repeated twice.
. As you can see, they are now as beautiful as they were before. By the way, the laces and insoles were removed and maintained in the same manner. Then, after drying both shoes, REPEL waterproof spray is applied and dried again. This is the end of the process.
Easy, convenient, and clean, Jason Mark's shoe care products are the trifecta of shoe care. Now that the state of emergency has been lifted, work and play are getting back to normal, but how about cleaning your sneakers first? It's a great way to refresh your mind.
Also, although we did not use it in this before and after, we recommend "QUICK WIPES," a sheet-type paper cleaner that can be taken with you wherever you go. The specially processed dotted rubber surface can be used to effectively remove even the toughest stains. It is ideal for travel and business trips when you don't have a kit on hand.
For your reference, we have posted a YouTube video from Jason Mark. The video shows how to use the spray, how to maintain it focusing on the material, and how amazing the waterproofing spray is.
