The new bag, characterized by its horizontal silhouette, employs ISSEY MIYAKE's unique pleating and folding techniques. The silhouette of the bag changes from its folded state as if it were a flower blooming, and the unevenness of the pleats expresses the petals of a flower. The fabric is made of lightweight and durable polyester, and it is also functional, being hand-washable. The lineup includes three vivid colors: grass green, dark lilac, and neon orange.
Bag ¥20,000+TAX
The new color for the classic bag is deep red , inspired by ripe grapes. The bold and deep coloring creates an elegant and calm finish. In addition, the three-dimensional pleats create shadows on the body, creating a contrasting color.
Vase ¥10,000+tax each
The vase was made in a factory in Finland using the technique of glass blowing. The design of the vase is the result of Iittala's expertise in pigments and colors, and is based on a thorough understanding of the characteristics of the materials, and not just a simple application of color. The glass is not only for arranging flowers, but also for decorating a room.
The items, which are a perfect blend of Japanese and Finnish cultures, are on sale now.
