every yearNIKEIn conjunction with this event, the "BeTrue Collection," which supports sexual minorities, is also being introduced. This year's lineup includes the Air Force 1, Air Max 2090, and Air Deschutes, each of which will be decorated with a rainbow to symbolize "Pride Month.
Air Force 1 ¥14,300 in TAX
The Air Force 1 is the first shoe from this collection. Based on the classic all-white design, the upper is made of an unusual grained leather. The Swoosh has a glossy gradient finish inspired by the New York ballroom culture of the mid-80s.
The inspiration for the 10 colors that adorn the heel came from the "More Color, More Pride" flag that was unveiled at a Philadelphia event in 2017. The flag, by the way, is a rainbow of eight colors, plus black and brown, to raise awareness for people of color as well.
Air Max 2090 ¥18,150 in TAX
Next up is the Air Max 2090, released this year to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 90. The asymmetrical rainbow colors represent the excitement of Pride parades held around the world. Combined with the translucent mesh upper and large Air unit, the design has a futuristic feel.
Air Deschutes ¥11,000 in TAX
The popular "Air Deschutes" from the outdoor line ACG is a sandal that combines lightness and functionality. The quick-drying upper, velcro strap holds the foot firmly in place, and the "Nike Air" heel provides outstanding comfort. The inside of each part is decorated with a subtle color scheme.
