One is the first 6-inch length boot to appear in the "Argancon" line, popularly known as the V-tip. The pattern was made from scratch, and the 9 eyelets, heavy stitching, and Bally last, which are rare in Japan, succeeded in adding to the boots' sense of weight. The Barry last is characterized by a loosely constricted archline and a moderately sharp toe line, which are not obvious at a glance. The iconic Alden hunter brown calf and double oiled leather sole are also highlights.
The other is the penny loafer. This model, which is changed every season, is newly clad in burnished tan. This is the lightest of Alden's dress calf leathers, and has an antique-like unevenness to it. The hand skin stitching and the saddle strap called "Skagway" add a touch of glamour to the look. The Bunn last, a last synonymous with penny loafers, is a compact heel last with a slip-on construction for a good fit. The almost vertical toe line is another detail that fans will love.
The last pair is a pair of modified lasts clad in a plain toe with 6 eyelets. Cordovan and glossy calf come to mind for this construction, but this pair is made of Regina grain calf leather. As the name suggests, it is characterized by its matte, grainy texture. The thinnest of the rubber soles, the dress rubber sole, gives this model a classy look that makes you want to wear it to finish off your slacks.
