I wonder how many of our readers are familiar with the famous copy, "It's love, right, love! Well, it's okay if you don't know it, but we think they make clothes with that kind of feeling, and we are pleased to announce the release of sneakers made in collaboration with the well-known "doublet" and "DC SHOES".
This collaboration is a hybrid design that combines three of D.C. Shoe's classic models from the late 90s, the LYNX OG, LEGACY OG, and KALIS OG, into a single pair of sneakers.
This idea came from the "Doublet" side. It may seem difficult to combine three pairs of shoes into one, but it is a feat of skill to put it all together so neatly.
Naturally, Masayuki Ino, the designer of "Doublet," has put a lot of thought into it. He has commented on this model, which we would like to post in its entirety here. Please note that there is nothing but love in this sentence as well.
I used to wear " DC SHOES " when I was a teenager and skateboarded. I used to wear 'LYNX' a lot, but my friends who were good skaters wore 'KALIS' or 'LEGACY. I remember thinking that if I wore a different model, I would be able to skate better, but I couldn't afford it. When I learned that the OG models of my youth had been reissued, now that I am an adult, I tried to decide which one to buy, but this time I couldn't choose because I was too confused. Every model has its own merits, and I am attracted to models that I can ride well even now that I no longer skateboard. Then, I thought, why not create a super "DC SHOES" that combines the best parts of all the OG models, and the result is this dream sneaker. These sneakers are full of emotions for our generation. I would be happy if the younger generation could experience the history of the OG model and DC SHOES through these sneakers."
