As a mixed martial artist, Kaoru Uno is entering his 25th year of professional life. . He is currently expanding his activities to include jiu-jitsu competitions and grappling matches.

This time, the gallery "BRICK & MORTAR" in Nakameguro will host a project to celebrate 25 years of Uno's activity. There will be an assortment of artistic jiu-jitsu wear.

First, as noted at the beginning of this article, Mr. Uno collaborated with his beloved "Levi's®" to create this jiu-jitsu outfit. The denim was collected from the Levi's® Store and used at OKIDOKI, a secondhand clothing store, during the repair process. . The denim repair expert, Yasuyuki Sugimoto of OKIDOKI, created the garments.

The T-shirts commemorating the event will be designed by painter Tomoo Gokita. Also available for sale are a page from Uno's career as an athlete, sublimated into a work of art by Shu Murakami, and a portrait of Uno taken by photographer Norbert Ruben.

I love fashion as much as I love martial arts . One of the things that inspired me was Levi's® denim. I still love collecting vintage Levi's® denim, and I have wished since I was in my 20s that one day I could make jiu-jitsu wear using denim, and that it would be made of my favorite Levi's® denim. It is like a dream come true to be able to make jiu-jitsu wear using Levi's® denim in such a way. I would like to thank the many people who helped me in making this jiu-jitsu wear.
