The archives of the masters come to life. Two poker-faced 30th anniversary models are faithfully reproduced down to the smallest detail.

As a pioneer of optical select stores, we raised a sign in Shibuya, Tokyo in 1990.POKER FACEAfter 30 years of history, one of the concepts of the anniversary model is "archive".

This time, we focus on models said to have been produced by the two masters about 30 years ago. Tamio Ido and Yasuhachiro Yamamoto, known for their "Kaneko Eyeglasses" craftsman series, have brought back to the present day rare items from the masters who made the quality of Japan-made products known throughout the world.

The brown rim is designed with cloisonne, a traditional technique used in crafts.

A single mountain bridge without a nose pad that provides comfort.

. The design was inspired by the flaking of the plating on the archive's tip cell.

These cable temples, with their characteristic curved lines, are Tamio Ido's first pair of cable temples. This model was once used for horseback riding because of its resistance to misalignment, but nowadays it is rare to see them because of the high level of skill and time required to manufacture them.

The archive had been stripped of the plating of the previous cell, exposing the metal, but by chance the color scheme was so good that we dared to incorporate it into the design, and it is a perfect match with the black frames. The single bridge, which creates a clean nose, is also a classic detail.

On the other hand, the special order with "Taihachiro Kinsei" is made of celluloid, a material that symbolizes Mr. Yamamoto, and has a shiny and smooth texture. In fact, only the front part was left in the archives, and the other parts were designed from scratch for this collection.

. Notably, the temples are designed to be thicker. This is made possible by the "no-core manufacturing method," in which no core metal is inserted, taking advantage of the celluloid's robustness and elasticity. By doing so, it is possible to create a high-end design while maintaining the strength of the material.

These two special pieces are brilliantly crafted with meticulous attention to detail. They will decorate your eyes with delicacy and beauty.
