The inspiration for the new work is the "cedar forest along the approach to the shrine. Imagine a shrine covered with countless cedar trees. That landscape where the air is cool and cool even in summer, and the place is quiet and still.... How did Yashiki embody such a scene?

Plaited knitting, in which different yarns are used for the front and back, gives the garment a look of depth.
This elegant, relaxed silhouette pays homage to the kimono. The various patterns running from the shoulders to the hem are reminiscent of mossy cedar tree trunks. As if in contrast, the center and sleeves are simply knitted to express a sense of serenity. This is a piece in which Yashiki's signature technique of using knitwear as a canvas and incorporating a metaphor of the landscape shines through.
The lineup includes a total of four colors. . It is common to wear art, but it is rare to find an approach that wears landscapes.
