This high-gauge crew-neck knit is a collaboration between "FRAGMENT DESIGN" led by Hiroshi Fujiwara and "JOHN SMEDLEY," a leading British brand. SEQUEL has been added to the two, who have worked together many times in the past, making this a triple name collaboration.
This work is based on a high-gauge crew neck made of Sea Island cotton, which Mr. Fujiwara says he uses on a regular basis. It is an updated version of the John Smedley archive, which has already been discontinued.
For example, different colors are used for the ribs at the neck and cuffs, and the rib width is adjusted to make the knitwear, which has a classic impression, more casual and wearable on its own. This kind of editorial skill is a true testament to Mr. Fujiwara.
The logo of "SEQUEL" is placed on the chest using a chain. This is not just a logo, but a design that is typical of Mr. Fujiwara's punk spirit.
