There are many photo T's in the world, but it is a fact that there are few that are mysteriously exciting. Of course, it is not enough to simply use photographs by famous photographers, but the placement of the photographs and the size of the prints affect the overall result.
In that sense, the special edition of "ADDITION ADELAIDE" from designer Taro Horiuchi's "th products" is a great work of art.
Ronald Ribneck T-Shirt (Addition Adelaide exclusive) ¥28,600
The bold print on the back. It was photographed by Ronald Stoops, who has created visuals for many famous designers.
This photo is a cut from the lookbook of T.H. Products' 20AW collection "th005. Mr. Horiuchi himself painted on it, and then used a photo of the Antwerp forest taken by Stoops on top of it.
Two photos with different textures are folded over each other, creating a collage art atmosphere. This is a different approach from simply printing a whole photo on a T-shirt.
The body is made of a jersey material with a firm texture that is less fluffy and less likely to lose its shape. The oversized mock neckline and fine-pitched striped pattern are also very unlike photo T's, and the result is a finish that shows the attention to detail of the two parties.
The Admission Adelaide will be available at the Admission Adelaide storefront and online starting Saturday, April 10, 2012. This summer, carry the work of Ronald Stoops on your back.
