At the heart of 2021 SPRING / SUMMER is a peaceful and intelligent outdoor mood inspired by the surf culture of the 60s and 70s.
Inspired by surf culture, this season's "Jil Sander+" collection was full of beachwear and goods. While these were eye-catching, I couldn't help but notice two pairs of pants that I picked up.
The silhouette is full of a sense of relaxation, with a beautifully sagging hem. The pattern-making alone is enough to whet your appetite, but the real reason we couldn't pass by is something else. Each of them has Lucy and Luke Meyer's playful spirit behind it, which I found very appealing. The backstyles of the chinos feature patches with wave and ocean motifs, while the knees of the cargo pants are boldly pleated.
The playfulness of the design is alive and well because it is solid, and the playfulness is a perfect embodiment of the surf culture of yesteryear.
