Vans is famous for its "OLD SKOOL" and "ERA," but not many people are familiar with the "METRO POLIS," a masterpiece hidden in the shadows of the "OLD SKOOL.

This model was born in the early 1990s, when "Vans" was in production in the U.S. , and the theme was "the universal appeal of the beauty of classic design. The jazz stripes that are synonymous with the brand are absent, and the volume and silhouette are characterized as if they were a mix of "ERA" and "OLDSKOOL".

This time, such "METRO POLIS" will be reissued and released.

The design, which combines a rounded body that symbolizes skate shoes of the 1990s with stitching at the toe reminiscent of straight tips, is truly a hybrid of street and classic styles.

White stitching running throughout the body and gold eyelets add accents. The external shuttlecock design is also a point of interest.

While maintaining the good old American design, the pair has been updated for comfort by using an "Ortholite" cup insole, and has been made from a modern perspective.

It is available in two colors, burgundy and black. The "METRO POLIS," which is steeped in Vans' heritage, will go on sale at "BILLY'S" in Japan on April 24 (Sat). It will also be available at the Vans Store in Harajuku from May 1 (Sat).
