Saint Laurent's new shoe teddy. The Derby, coin loafer and monkstrap are now available to whet your appetite.

TEDDY MONKSTRAP ¥126,500

SAINT LAURENT recently held its first men's runway show in two years. Although the clothes presented at the show are still to be released, the new "TEDDY" shoes, which symbolize the fall/winter 2021 collection, will be launched.

TEDDY PENNY LOAFER ¥115,500 each

The lineup of interest comes in three models: derby shoes, monk straps, and coin loafers. As the name "Teddy" suggests, they feature a rockabilly-style chunky crepe sole inspired by the shoes of the teddy boys, commonly known as "teddies," who were born in the 1950s. They are easier to wear than simple leather soles, and are easy to use on a daily basis, which is another great point.

The saddle of the coin loafer will be inset with a coin engraved with the number "24" from the location of Saint Laurent's atelier. While paying homage to the American penny loafer, this is an answer with a French spirit. Beef rolls are also a hot item.

TEDDY LACE-UP DERBY ¥115,500 each

The suede derby also comes in a nice selection of colors. It looks like the black suede derby will be available in women's as well, so women should give it a try!
