While the emergence of AI and the development of robotics will help us to proceed with all kinds of things without inconvenience, it will also force us to confront the meaning of human existence. Eventually, will we even be deprived of the ability to think?

KOTA KAWAI is an artist who creates works by covering chairs and objects with fabrics from old clothes. He is one of the hottest young artists in the industry, and has worked with FACETASM and DYLIK. KOTA KAWAI has created a one-of-a-kind art piece using materials from the archive of collaborative T-shirts and jackets by 2G and Motoi Sorayama, which were sold at 2G in the past.

If you look closely, you can see the sexy robot, the 2G logo, and the "Sorayama" mark lurking everywhere. The result is a solid atmosphere that cannot be achieved by ordinary methods. KOTA KAWAI's exquisite sense of design is still alive and well in this work.

The work, bound to sitting, is sometimes mechanical, creating a contemporary common sense through the pre-existing format of the chair. This work focuses on the "conformity of hybrids" through "non-human". Whether the modification of analog common sense is seen as "lack" or "innovation". Even in a society that focuses on automation and the new normal through the development of artificial intelligence and robotics, there is no automation of thought. Analog perspectives permeate people's lives, and in today's world of dizzying social change, we are forced to constantly keep tabs on the uncertain reality of "what is right and what is wrong. Analog thoughts and additions emanating from "non-humans" as well as the latest technology will develop the possibilities of the present age.
