KENZO, known for its tiger motif, will once again share a passionate embrace with a real tiger this year.
Because as part of our work with WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature), we are launching a capsule collection in 2018 to help protect tigers in the wild.
The goal is to double the wild tiger population by 2022, the year of the tiger (100,000 tigers 100 years ago, today there are only about 3,000 ......).
For every item in this collection purchased, a $10 donation will be sent to WWF.
Items in the lineup include sweatshirts, T-shirts, and knit outerwear, all of which are made of 100% organic cotton, certified to global standards. It also protects cotton supply tunes and the water environment.
Women's Tee Dress ¥45,100
At the time when Kenzo Takada, the founder of the company, was designing the product, tigers were only small on tags and other items.
The current creative directors have dug them up from the archives and incorporated them into their designs as motifs that embody the brand, such as power and nature as a source of inspiration.
After saving the tiger as a motif, Kenzo seems to have an uncommonly deep pockets to rescue a real tiger.
