The quintessence of "MARGARET HOWELL" is the shirt, but there are probably not many people who know how it is made.
This time, the brand and filmmaker Emily Richardson have collaborated to unravel the secrets of the brand through a short film work.
It is a simple video that follows the shirt-making process at Margaret Howell's own factory. On a mostly blank screen, only the hands and tools of the craftsmen move around with color.
This is just pleasant. . The sound of the scissors cutting the shirt shape and the sewing machine stitching the collar . The fabric stretching out with a quick ironing. The narration by Margaret Howell herself. The handiwork that proceeds without any hesitation naturally draws you in.
And if you watch the entire production, you will notice that a single craftsman performs all the processes. At our own factory, "The Unit 7" (The Unit 7), shirts selected for each season are produced using the so-called "round stitch" method.
The video gives a real sense of the amount of time and effort that went into each shirt. Emily's skill in personal histories and artistic images of living spaces is evident in this video.
Whether you have yet to get around to it or wear it casually, this video, filled with the essence of "Margaret Howell," is a must-see.
