Ideas for manufacturing are usually born from simple questions.

It is from such trivial triggers as "Why don't we have something like this?

SKAGEN incorporates these simple ideas directly into its products.

Inspiration from the Danish custom of hygge, which emphasizes comfortable living and spending time with close friends and family, is the seed of our manufacturing.

Needless to say, Denmark, the birthplace of Hygge, is sensitive to sustainability.

But rather than a complicated situation or agenda, it is the manifestation of a simple love of nature that is close at hand.

In response, Skagen is launching an eco-friendly series called "Pro-Planet" starting on Earth Day in April 2021.

First up is AAREN NATURALS, which uses recycled stainless steel for the watch buckle and case, and mulberry wood and apple bark for the strap.

This collection focuses on ocean pollution, which is as much of a problem as forests.

We have teamed up with Tide Ocean Material (#tide ocean material®︎), which upcycles marine debris that washes up on the beach into recycled plastic.

The watch case, bracelet and dial are made of 100%, a material made from this durable marine plastic.

Arlen Ocean, whose design is also based on the theme of the ocean itself, expresses the atmosphere of the tranquil sea and the texture of waves in a modern way.

Even in these times, the distant, exotic seashore feels close at hand.

The new "Arlen Ocean" is available today, Monday, October 25.

All other "Pro Planet" series products are now available at the official online store and directly managed stores.
